Iโve always admired people with a clear passion for a single career path. For me, it was a different story. I learned by trial and error that my ideal work involved helping others while maintaining a flexible schedule. This led me to the world of freelancing, where I now work as a proofreader, editor, virtual assistant, and accountability partner.
I wrote this a while ago, right after landing a new job, full of the hope and certainty that comes with a new beginning. However, I left that job and fully dedicated to my Freelancing business. Now, the reality of full-time freelancing, however, has been a humbling teacher. The path is often uncertain, and stability can be a constant challenge.
Yet, despite the occasional anxiety, Iโve found a different kind of fulfillment. Iโm still helping people, still committed to my work, and still learning new things every day. My childhood dream of being a vet is long gone, but the dream of building a career on my own terms, with all its challenges and rewards, is very much alive. How do you navigate career uncertainty and still find joy in your work?
