In Venezuela, we have a saying, “Las brujas no existen, pero de que vuelan vuelan,” which could roughly translate to the title of this post. It kind of reflects my approach regarding superstitions. I am not superstitious, but every once in a while, I wonder or consider that I might be wrong.
Now, I am more fond of optimistic superstitions. For example, if you say something you want out loud, you knock on wood (a table, a door) because there’s a belief that it will make your wish come true. I think it might subconsciously make us more confident to work toward our goals ๐
