Extremely short answer:
Yes!
Long Answer:
I didn’t trust my instincts before… I had no self-confidence not so long ago (I set up one of my 2024 goals to change this). At this very moment, I can’t understand why I was so harsh to myself and wouldn’t give me a break. Moreover, I feel horrified that not only I didn’t have a drop of confidence in myself, but I actively and passionately hated my poor being.
Thanks to Fabulous (an app that both love and hate), I started changing that, little by little. I started using it in 2015, but it took 9 years for me of practicing gratitude and self-compassion, moving to Colombia, getting therapy, taking Paroxetine, and start cycling around Bogota to get where I am now!
I’m finally trusting my instinct. I trust myself enough to do that! I think there was a bit of hidden self-confidence in me. I decided to quit my 9-5. I am glad I listened to my instinct back then.
This year I was also faced with a difficult decision. I was fired from a part-time job I had. My Fiverr business was not progressing. My regular clients disappeared (they returned afterward). I was burning my savings at a mad rate.
Yet, I decided to trust my instincts once again… I decided to launch my Accountability partner Gig (read more about that here), reduced expenses, and paid Fiverr ads. It worked. It’s now one of my main income sources! Now it’s time to rebuild my savings and continue learning and growing so I can provide the best service I can 😀
