What’s The Fabulous app?
The Fabulous app is a self-care app that helps you build healthy habits and routines. It has different courses called “Journeys” that guide you through various aspects of wellness, such as sleep, energy, focus, and happiness. You can also track your progress, get motivational messages, and join a community on their Social Media.
I have been using The Fabulous app since 2015 or 2016, and I have much to say about it. In this article, I will share my personal experience with the app, the pros and cons, and my final verdict.
How The Fabulous App Changed My Life
I started using The Fabulous app when it was still in its early stages. It offered a lot of content with a free plan, it was visually beautiful, and backed by science! In addition, it always used kind language towards me.

One of the habits that I learned from the app was keeping a gratitude journal. Every day, I would write down three or more things I was grateful for, no matter how big or small. This habit changed me and made me more grateful than ever. Even when my life was not perfect and faced many challenges, I learned to appreciate what I had and be more resilient.
The Fabulous app also helped me cope with depression. In 2021, I was going through a dark period in my life, and I decided to pay for the app’s premium version, which gave me access to more Journeys, exercises, coaching audios, meditations, and more. The app helped me get out of the house, create a routine (sometimes I followed it, sometimes I didn’t), and start the long process of healing.
How The Fabulous App Disappointed Me
However, not everything was fabulous with The Fabulous app. I also encountered many problems and frustrations with the app, especially with its customer service and updates.

One of my issues was that the app took away my premium subscription, even though I had paid for it. I contacted customer service, but they only gave me useless advice, like reinstalling the app and restoring the purchase. I had already done that before contacting them (and told them about it), but they did not seem to care. It took them four months to reply, and they only repeated the same advice. I reinstalled the app again without much hope, and luckily, my premium subscription was back. Nevertheless, I was very disappointed and angry with their service at this point. I didn’t use the app much out of holding a grudge against it.
All that happened on 2021. In 2022, as it seems that I don’t learn from my previous mistakes, I decided to give them another chance. Sure, they failed me for a couple of months when I needed the app the most, but I also decided not to use the app, which was immature.
So there I went, renewed my premium subscription, used it, and enjoyed it when another issue appeared. The app changed its language from English to Spanish without my consent. I hated this change because the Spanish version had way less content than the English version.
Optimistically, I contacted customer service again to have the change reverted, and they told me that they changed the language based on the original form that I filled out when I registered to the app. They said that they could not do anything to fix it and that to settle with the Spanish version. At least they apologized to me. Regardless of their apology, I was very frustrated and unhappy with this change (I still am).
My Final Verdict on The Fabulous App
Because of these issues, I stopped using The Fabulous app altogether. The app did not respect my preferences, needs, and expectations. The Spanish version of the app was just not worth the money, time, and effort that I invested in it.

However, I also want to acknowledge the positive impact that the app had on my life. Thanks to the app, I learned how to meditate, sleep better, write a daily to-do list, and keep a gratitude journal. These habits have improved my well-being and happiness. I still practice them, even without the app.
So, would I recommend The Fabulous app to others? Well, it depends. The app might work for you if you are looking for a self-care app that can help you create new, positive, healthy habits. The app might not work if you seek a reliable, consistent, and customer-friendly app that respects your choices and feedback.
The best way to find out is to try it for yourself. You can download the app for free and see if you like it. You can also read other reviews and opinions online to get a more balanced perspective.
I hope this article helps you decide whether The Fabulous app is right for you or not. If you have any questions or comments, please share them with me. Thank you for reading.
