When I read this prompt, I couldn’t help but feel slightly happy. Twice in my life, I have done things that terrified me.
The first one was fleeing Venezuela. After the second week-long blackout, I decided to move to Colombia. It was a heartbreaking, difficult decision, and I was so scared, even if both countries were similar (in the food, language, and more). I have lived in Colombia for five years and am very happy with my decision. I have made friends, met beautiful places, and plan to discover more of this beautiful country in the future.

The second most terrifying thing I’ve done was to quit my job and focus on my Freelancing service as a proofreader, editor, and virtual assistant. I felt depressed at my former job, so quitting was the right choice, even if I was scared of not making it on my own or having to crawl back at the same company (or one similar). I knew the challenges of such a harsh decision were undeniable (I wrote about it here). Yet, I’m still alive, working on myself, and recently found a full-time job as a virtual assistant (yeah!).

After taking such giant leaps of faith, I have become stronger, more resilient, and more self-confident. I know I have to keep my focus, balance my life, and continue doing my best.
Thank you so much for reading me, and I hope you can overcome your fears (even if it is little by little) and get closer to the life you want and deserve. Have a beautiful day!
