I had forgotten about the term rumination. It is a chronic and awful form of overthinking (Please read here to get a better definition).
Have you ever been stuck thinking about something dumb you did in your past and thinking on ways you could have prevented it or how you would deal with it now?
Well, that was my life. I would get caught in painful memories, reliving all the despair over and over again. I would also create alternative pasts in which I knew better and reacted differently.
Now at least I do a lot more during the day and seldom think about the past 🙂 I like to plan my future and search for ways I can make it easier for my dear future me. At the moment, I still don’t think that much about the legacy I want to leave.
I guess I will continue advancing, little by little.
